Want to join Go Girl? Here are some of the spots available on our team.

Contributors. Are you a writer? Thinking about doing a regular column about the various offerings of international cheeses? Just got back from a great trip you want to dish about? Have a few comments you’d like to share? We’re looking for interesting, personal and thoughtful takes on independent and adventurous travel. If you’re somewhere, if you’ve been somewhere, or if you’re going somewhere, email us! Experience by day, blog by night (or the other way around). We want to hear your musings, your thoughts, and your discoveries as you take on the world one step at a time.

  • Unscheduled contributors: Want to write for Go Girl but can’t make a regular commitment? We reserve space for unscheduled contributors and review their applications on a case-by-case basis. These women are included on a mailing list that publishes trending topics in need of a writer. These articles are “up for grabs” and usually require a one to two-week turnaround. Please use the same procedure (below) to apply.
  • News writers: We’re looking for people who read the news and have opinions to share. If you are interested in writing on a regular basis about current events, please get in touch with Assignments Editor Nathalie at nathalie@travelgogirl.com for more information.

Ready to start writing? Download the Writer Interest Letter to see what it takes to be a Go Girl. Then send us a writing sample using the guidelines listed here.

We also have spots available for video bloggers, photographers and other skills that you may be interested in sharing with the GG community. For more information, get in touch with us at team@travelgogirl.com.

Go Girl Ambassadors: Go Girl is more than just a magazine. It’s a community of strong, independent women that are passionate to understand and explore the world around them. We’re proud of our roots and our readers. While Go Girl has an important presence online, it’s the living, breathing world that we’re really about. That’s why we’re trying to get Go Girl exposed to some fresh air. How do we do it? Through networking events, lectures and panels, coffeehouses, fundraisers for international organizations and non-profits, and anything else that encourages women to understand, improve, and build the world around them. Help us connect with Go Girls everywhere by being a local ambassador. Ambassadors are grassroots leaders that act as a local hub for Go Girls in their area. They organize events, recruit writers, build our online and offline community, encourage local and international involvement, help design our new merch and bring new ideas to the table for how to encourage active women to get out there and explore their world. Our ambassadors are a new initiative, but they will be the heart of the new and fabulous Go Girl.

New Media Manager: Addicted to Twitter, Facebook, Digg, Pinterest, FourSquare and everything else? GG is looking for a new media manager who can balance it all in the travel/feminist community. @mention us on Twitter if you think you’re the lady (or the man) for the job and tell us why in 140 characters or less. Or check out the listing here.

Advertising Director: If you know business, you know that so many websites (like ours) rely on advertising to stay afloat. That’s why we’re looking for a financially savvy Go Girl/Guy who can help us sell space for logo/link advertising, organize sponsored posts, join affiliate networks and other lucrative solutions to not just survive, but to thrive. Note: This is a paid position, based solely on advertising sales commission.

Web Manager: This website ain’t big enough for the both of us. Hey, we’re writers, not web experts, and we need someone to help us keep travelgogirl.com in commission. From our crazy slider, to any wacky new things we want to add, we just need a creative, flexible resident expert who’s game to try new things and have fun. And that resident expert COULD BE YOU!

Please note that all positions are currently unpaid. For more information, email us at team@travelgogirl.com.
